Grilled Brown Sugar Pears

Grilled pears are great alongside grilled pork or sausages; they're even better when served with ice cream or frozen yogurt for dessert. The smokiness of the grill highlights pears' natural sweetness to fabulous effect.


  • - 4-5 pears
  • -½ cup brown sugar
  • - ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • - ¼ cup honey


  1. Slice pears lengthways and remove seeds.
  2. Fill half pear with chopped walnuts and ½ tsp. butter.
  3. Fill the other ½ with brown sugar.
  4. Put back together and drizzle with honey, wrap tightly in foil and grill direct at 350 degree’s until fruit is soft.
