Vent Free Gas Logs
At Southern Hearth and Patio, due to recent changes in restrictions of unvented gas appliances, as well as new endorsements by the U.S.G.B.C. (U.S. Green Builder's Council) to only use vented products, we no longer recommend the use of Ventless fireplaces or ventfree logs. We do, however, understand that tens of thousands of people have bought new homes with these ventless fireplaces already in place, and without the removal of these fireplaces have no other choice or simply have no venting options for where the fireplace is located.
Here we have compiled a listing of the vent free units we have used previously, that have given us the best service life, ease of use, and less odor issues than others.
